At its core, the BMX Series is a high-excursion, true-to-size subwoofer featuring a 3” 8 layer voice coil, rated for 2500W RMS of clean musical power, with the motor and coil combination capable of enduring thermal bursts up to 25,000 watts. This beast utilizes a triple-stacked Y35 ferrite motor structure with aluminum shorting ring, pole vents and (4) drilled and tapped backplate holes, giving builders flexibility for reinforced mounting or enhanced cooling. A tooled SHCA magnet boot completes the structure—adding both functional protection and a sleek aesthetic.

Mechanically, the 12”, 15”, and 18” BMX subwoofers push performance with an impressive 32mm Xmax and 39mm Xmech, delivering massive excursion while maintaining control. The 10” stacked spider pack, spaced for increased durability, keeps everything tight and responsive under heavy load. A fiberglass-reinforced cone support lies beneath a hardened paper cone—engineered with a tooled recess for the standard carbon fiber dust cap, maximizing cone integrity and minimizing flex during peak output. To round out the features we utilize a secondary pressure cap nestled under the primary cap which works as a pressure buffer and structural reinforment to the primary cap.

• Trim Ring Removal Instructions

  The Resilient Sounds V2 trim ring is a decorative and functional piece used to enhance aesthetics and secure the surround. Please note it is not meant to be removed unless doing a recone and doing so may void your manufacturer warranty. However, should you choose to remove it here is the process and tools you will need.

   

  -Phillips Screwdriver

  -Pliers

  -Heat Gun

  -Pry Tool

  -Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

   

  1. You will need a phillips screwdriver to remove the 4 screws securing the trim ring to the frame. There may be residual adhesive on the screws preventing them from coming all the way out and you may need pliers once unscrewed to free the screws.

   

  2. There may be excess adhesive protruding from the surround that may have adhered to your trim ring. So next you will utilize a heat gun going around the trim ring with a pry tool slightly breaking the adhesive free. The Frame and Trim Ring will be hot! USE CAUTION! Be sure to use a tool that won’t damage your trim ring or frame and do not pry too much at once as you may break the ring.

   

  3. By this point your ring should be free from the frame. Handle it with care as it may still be hot. When reinstalling the ring ONLY hand tighten the screws.

The Heavy Duty Street 3.2 Series 1200W Subwoofer improves on its predecessor in terms of build, sound quality, heat dispersion, and frequency response. The 10, 12, or 15-inch models are available with dual 2 or 4-ohm voice coil.

The HDS3.2 series is a perfect option for elevating your daily-driver car audio system build to the next level. First, choose a sealed, ported, or band-pass enclosure. Once you decide on an enclosure option, pair your sub(s) with the appropriate S Series monoblock amp. From there, enjoy easy wiring in series or parallel thanks to the 10 AWG push terminals. The HDS3.2 1200W Subwoofer
The dual-magnet motor features a bumped T-yoke for greater travel and better heat resistance. Additionally, the vented, electroplated back plate gives heat a way out and decreases turbulence in the coil gap. The HDS3.2 series uses a 3-inch diameter, four-layer, copper dual voice coil with a conical back plate for long-distance travel.

The HDS3.2 series feature cast aluminum frames. This upgrade provides better heat sinking and increased excursion over stamped-steel baskets. A softer three-piece spider system achieves enhanced performance and lower tuning. As a result, the HDS3.2 has an F(s) of 28.26 Hz compared to 35 Hz for the HDS3.1.

An Extended Range of Motion (EROM) surround profile keeps your cone diameter as large as possible while allowing for long, controlled excursion. The EROM profile gives you more cone area, greater stiffness, and lower mass for more accurate coil signal response. The HDS3.2 has a non-pressed, fiber added cone for maximum rigidity and long life.
