Description
PRV Audio’s TW500My-Nd bullet tweeter features a lightweight diaphragm driven by a powerful neodymium motor to deliver natural and smooth response with low distortion.

- Designed to fit in tight spaces without any major modifications
- Mylar diaphragm for superior accurate and detailed response
- Designed to add high output, high frequency response to any large system
- Built-in capacitors act as a crossover and attenuates the low frequencies for smooth frequency response
- Able to take a ton of power! Up to 150 watts RMS of power handling

With an aluminum voice coil wound on a Kapton former and Mylar diaphragm, the moving parts have been kept as light as possible for improved efficiency.
In addition, this tweeter uses a powerful neodymium magnet to further increase efficiency and ensure accurate control for low distortion.

Producing a sensitivity of 109 dB 1W/1m this tweeter can keep up with even the most efficient sound systems. You will be amazed by the sheer output levels the TW500My-Nd can produce!
A capacitor is included for protection from damaging frequencies at high power. Mounting hardware included.
The Mylar diaphragm is attached to a 1.25″ diameter aluminum wire with Kapton® former for a high 150 Watts RMS musical power handling, when used with recommended HPF using PRV Digital Signal Processor DSP
- 4000 Hz at 12 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT12
- 3500 Hz at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18
Its incredible output capabilities and wide frequency response make this tweeter one of our best super tweeters on the market!
PRV Neodymium Super Tweeter TW500My-Nd 150 Watts 8 Ohm – Premium, High Efficient Tweeter – Mylar Diaphragm
Recommended Settings with DSP / Crossover
We strongly recommended ALWAYS to use a high pass filter ( HPF ) on or to the amplifier channel that will be running the tweeters.
If you have just a high output crossover such as: EX3.5 STEREO or EX4.6 PRO – Use the HIGH OUT channel to feed the amplifier input with a HPF set to:
At 5000Hz – if you are running just a speaker and tweeter setup
At 8000Hz – If you are running a 3-Way system ( speaker, phenolic driver and tweeter )
If you are taking your system to the next level and tuning it with a digital signal processor: DSP 2.4X or DSP 2.8X – Set on the channel to feed the amplifier input with a HPF set to:
At 5000Hz at LR18 – if you are running just a speaker and tweeter setup
At 7000Hz at LR24 – If you are running a 3-Way system ( speaker, phenolic driver and tweeter )

*Nominal power handling is defined as the maximum RMS power that the speaker can handle in a 2-hour test with a pink noise with 6dB of crest factor and a bandpass filter with 12db/oct tuned in its usable frequency range. **Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to provide a clean signal without clipping or saturation. ***Max Peak Power is the maximum power operation for the speaker, this power is allowed just for a few fractions of a second, usually found just on the peaks of the music. Keeping this power for a little longer timer will damage the speaker.
