Monoblocks, 4-channels and more
Monoblock (1-channel) amps power your subwoofers, and many are stable at 1 ohm or even 0.5 ohm. Multi-channel amps, including 4- and 5-channel models, drive your door speakers, component sets and tweeters, and some can run a sub as well.
Choosing the right amp
- Match your subs. Pick an amp that delivers close to your subs' total RMS rating at the impedance you'll wire to.
- Respect the impedance rating. Only wire as low as the amp is rated to run stable.
