The DS18 PRO-HY8.4B is an 8″ hybrid with a built-in compression driver on a water-resistant cone. It handles 250 watts RMS (500 max) at 4 ohms with 97 dB sensitivity and plays from 80Hz to 20kHz.
It needs 4.29″ of depth and covers full range from one opening. Tight panel? See the PRO-HY8.4MSL. For a 6×9 opening, use the PRO-HY69.4B.
DS18’s HYBRID speakers give you the best of both worlds of mids and highs combined into one pro audio combination speaker. This high powered pro audio mega speaker combines both a 8″ high volume midrange speaker that also has a high wattage driver attached to the rear to give you a full range of frequencies at an amazingly loud volume. These Hybrids have water resistant cones to help battle elements and are perfect for people looking to place a high wattage, high volume loudspeaker together without having to separately mount am additional driver.
